Astra can be configured to accept many types of credit cards, debit cards, and even gift cards. Save time and increase efficiency by integrating some or all of these methods of payment.
Making and tracking payments within Astra greatly increases accuracy and provides a solid audit trail. You’ll know who accepte a payment, when it was taken, how much was paid, and which method used. Without this type of integration you’d be guessing when trying to match invoices to payments. It reduces the risk of errors or fraud and provides an easy way to reconcile your till at the end of the day.
For this reason, we recommend using PIN pads at all front desk workstations where customers are interacting with your staff and presenting their crds for payment. PIN devices would not be needed for back office workstations since card payments would be taken over the phone and customers would not provide a PIN number over the phone.
We offer two gateway products to process payments within Astra. VeriFone’s PAYware Connect (replaced PC Charge) and Edge Link Cloud by Open Edge (formerly xCharge/xWeb). These gateway providers will often compete with each other for your business and offer different options.
